Regulatory History
Aristotle University was founded in November of 2006 in Carlsbad, California and has subsequently attained dual degree-granting authority within the State of California.

On May 1, 2007, the State of California, Bureau of Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), granted Aristotle University, through its subsidiary, the Aristotle University College of Law, the Full Five (5) Year Approval as a California private postsecondary degree-granting institution. Subsequently, on November 1, 2007, Aristotle University received degree-granting authority for all three of its law schools (Aristotle University College of Law – Carlsbad, Ca.; Aristotle University College of Law – Temecula, Ca.; Aristotle University Institute of Law and Jurisprudence) by The State Bar of California, Committee of Bar Examiners, thereby permitting law students at any of the law schools of Aristotle University to qualify to sit for the California Bar Examination. All three of the law schools of Aristotle University are officially listed on The State Bar of California web site (www.calbar.ca.gov).

Additionally, Aristotle University developed the Aristotle University School of Public Health (AUSPH) which is the subject of this web site. The AUSPH offers the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree either as a distance-learning or hybrid format (combination of onsite and distance-learning). Areas of emphasis of study for the MPH include either Healthcare Management, Bioethics & Public Health Law, Global Health Diplomacy, or Global Public Health.
